How to join?
Masons do not solicit members and you will never be recruited. To become a Mason it must be of your own free will and accord and you must seek it out. The basic requirements are simple:
- You must be a man at least 18 years of age and of sound moral character.
- You must profess a belief in a living God.
- You must apply.
- You must pay the initiation fees, currently $200 at Oriental 87.
- You must be elected to receive membership by the other members.
- You must participate in some initiation rituals known as ‘degrees’ and memorize certain content from them. There is nothing in these rituals that will cause embarrassment or conflict with you, your church, or your family.
