Who We Are

Oriental Lodge #87, AF&AM of Colorado is part of the worldwide fraternity of Freemasons and, in particular, the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Colorado, AF&AM. We are a group of approximately 80 men dedicated to the pillars of Freemasonry and to improving ourselves, our relations with our families, and our communities. We meet in downtown Denver at 1614 Welton Street on the first and third Wednesdays of every month and on other occasions as required and have been doing so since our founding in 1891. What We Do

Truth . . .  

Masonry teaches us to treat all individuals equally, support and obey civil authority, believe in one everlasting supreme being, provide for our families and assist the needy when possible.

Family values form the basis of our social activities.
Justice is the foundation of civil society. Law is a rule of right, to insure justice is given to all equally.
Education . . .  

OUR LODGE MEMBERS ACTIVELY SUPPORT EDUCATIONAL COMMUNITY AND SOCIAL PROGRAMS

Through our scholarship program we provide 4-year scholarship grants to students attending universities within the State of Colorado. The scholarship program began in 1953 and since that time we have helped hundreds of students attend Colorado universities.
We help provide food, clothing, blankets and medical services for the homeless. We strongly believe that helping those individuals who are less fortunate should be the goal of society and most especially Masons.
Charity . . .  

THE ORIENTAL LODGE FAMILY IS ACTIVE IN MANY CHARITIES

We have sponsored many charitable golf tournaments benefiting needy children who have been abused and or abandoned and children with learning and attention disorders as well as programs for teaching the blind how to cope and learn to deal with their disability.
We contribute to the Grand Lodge Masonic Band Camp providing children the opportunity to learn and play music and to compete in a campus atmosphere.
