Truth
Truth is a cardinal virtue and it’s one of the basic tenets of Masonry. We strive to be true to ourselves, to our families and to our communities. Masons have been speaking truth to power since the middle-ages and have been part of some major shifts in the world, like the American revolution and the end of slavery in the US and across most of the world. Freemasons have been part of Colorado since before statehood.
Education
Masons are dedicated to the cause of education whether it’s themselves and their families, their community, or the world around us. We were one of the primary catalysts for the cause of free public education for all and we continue to champion that mission. The child you help educate isn’t just improving their own future, they are improving yours. Here at Oriental Lodge #87 we support our local schools as well as offering college scholarships every year since 1953, without regard to race, religion, or masonic affiliation.
Charity
Charity is one of the ancient charges of freemasonry and is one of the basic tenants of the fraternity. As Masons we support charities with upwards of a million dollars a DAY in addition to countless volunteer hours. Oriental 87 has scholarships and programs that work both within the Masonic family and in the community at large like the Masonic Band Camp and the several Masonic youth groups. We’re here to help.
Our Denver Masonic Lodge Has Been Making Good Men Better Since 1891
Freemasonry is a system of teaching couched in allegory and symbolism. Of ancient origin; self development, morals and ethics is the aim of the Lodge, for members and the greater good of Society as a whole. Our Masonic Lodge in Downtown Denver Colorado meets on the first and third Wednesdays at 6pm for dinner and meet and greets.

Our Masonic Lodge History
Oriental Lodge #87 is a Denver based group of Freemasons working under a charter from the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Colorado. We meet on the first and third Wednesdays of every month in the heart of downtown Denver. Our meetings are open to all Masons from any recognized lodge worldwide. Come meet with us upon the level at our Denver masonic lodge.
